General Information
This program consists of 12 weekly one-hour sessions. In addition to group discussion there is a private weigh-in and opportunity to have food and activity records reviewed by the facilitator.
Lifestyle
Lifestyle is one of the biggest factors influencing a person's weight. This program is designed to help you examine current lifestyle behaviors, thinking patterns, and habits. You will learn and practice new skills and strategies for making sustainable change for a healthy lifestyle.
Physical Activity/Exercise
We assist you in developing a plan for regular exercise to gain important health benefits such as increased cardiovascular capacity, lower ratio of fat to muscle mass, and muscular strength and endurance. You will track your exercise in a daily journal.
Nutrition
Learning how to make enjoyable and healthy food choices is a primary focus of this program. You will learn basic nutritional information and are encouraged to keep within recommended calorie limits. There are no prescribed diets, forbidden foods, or nutritional supplements used. Under guidance from the facilitator, you will set goals that enable you to manage your weight by adopting a lifelong commitment to a health lifestyle.
Weigh 2 Go PLUS
This program is ideal for those who need more personal guidance with starting an exercise program. Weigh 2 Go PLUS includes the benefits of Weigh 2 Go and the following additional features:
- 3-month membership at Valley Health Wellness & Fitness Center
- 3 personal training sessions with fitness specialist, including fitness testing to design and progress your exercise program
- Free enrollment (assessment fee waived) at Valley Health Wellness & Fitness Center, if you join within 30 days after graduating from Weigh 2 Go (monthly fee applies)
