May is National Osteoporosis Month. The National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOF) wants to increase people’s knowledge of the risk factors for osteoporosis and what lifestyle changes can be made to maintain strong bones. Although there is no cure for osteoporosis, there are ways to prevent or slow down its progress. Exercises that promote posture, balance, and flexibility are recommended. Many can be done at home. Here is an example:
Posture Exercise Example: Corner Stretch
Benefit: Stretches shoulders, flattens upper back; improves rounded shoulders
