Men’s Health Week is celebrated each year as the week leading up to and including Father’s Day. Organizations nationwide during this week seek to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys. This week gives health care providers, public policy makers, the media, and individuals an opportunity to encourage men and boys to seek regular medical advice and early treatment for disease and injury (Network, 2017).
Start these healthy habits during Men’s Health Week to build a strong body from the inside out:
Eat Healthy Foods
Get your daily dose of vitamins and minerals by eating a variety of fruits and vegetables every day. Limit foods high in sugar, salt and fat.
Get Regular Checkups
Seeing your doctor on a regular basis can help you identify any health issues early. Your doctor can also provide you with the best advice to manage any existing health conditions.
Manage Stress
Take time for regular breaks and hobbies to manage stress. If you feel overwhelmed, exercise is one of the best ways to relax your body and mind. Exercise can also improve your mood.
