Prior to joining the Valley Health Wellness & Fitness Center, Charles Wellman felt that his health and fitness was fair. Inactivity had set his diabetes out of control and medications stopped working. Charles’ primary doctor told him that the next step was to start on insulin and that is when Charles decided to return to the gym.
“I had originally joined in 2012, left in 2015, and then rejoined in March 2018. The programs that have had the most impact include water aerobics, HIIT the Deck Strong, personal training, and BOGAFIT®. Sue Walter(group exercise instructor, swim instructor, and personal trainer) is the driving force that has helped me lose weight and increase my fitness level. I am most proud of my overall fitness, balance, flexibility, and losing over 30 pounds. I think more members should try BOGAFIT® as it is both fun and challenging. I think overall health should be everyone’s number one priority, be proactive and don’t let your health decline!” said Charles.
